Unilever NV changes ex-dividend rate for interim dividend
29/09/1999 : Following consultation with the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, the Board of Unilever N.V. has decided to bring forward the ex-dividend date for the 1999 interim dividend on ordinary shares and depositary receipts for shares from Monday November 15 to Monday November 8.
The interim dividend will be announced on Friday November 5 and the payment date remains as Friday December 17.
The change is linked to the uncertainty that has arisen regarding the tax treatment in the Netherlands of share transactions in the period between the resolution to distribute a dividend and the ex-dividend date.
The Unilever PLC interim dividend date, and those for the PLC American Shares and N.V.New York Shares, are unaffected by this change.
