Hourglass
Lucky is the woman with the classic hourglass figure. Forget all those waiflike models, most men will tell you that they still prefer a woman with this classically curved shape.
One of the problems hourglass girls face though is finding jeans that fit on both the waist and the hips. Often, jeans that are wide enough on the hips gape at the waist, and fitted waists feel too tight across the hips. Worry not! The solution is to go for a hipster cut. Finish your look with a fitted top and a cinched in belt to emphasise your tiny waist.
Apple
It's great news if you're apple shaped, because it's fairly easy to find styles that will show off your slim pins and detract from a big bust and tummy.
Apple girls should avoid drainpipe styles which can emphasise a bulky torso – but you still want to make the most of those slim legs, so don't go for a wide fit. Instead, opt for the middle ground and go for a straight cut or a slight boot cut to balance out your frame and display those legs to their best advantage.
If you have a bit of a tummy, choose wide waistbands to avoid drawing attention to a thicker waist. Use pockets to your advantage. Minimise a prominent tum with flat front or plunge pockets, while making the most of a flatter bum with flap pockets.
Pear shaped
You're in great company here – many gorgeous women have slimmer upper bodies, broadening out in the hip and thigh. And perhaps one of the most famous of pear shapes is Hollywood star Kate Winslet who always looks nothing short of fabulous.
The first rule for pear shapes is to choose your waistband carefully. Often jeans that are wide enough on the hips will gape at the waist, or fitted waists will feel uncomfortably tight on the hips. For this reason, opt for a hipster cut.
Choose a leg width to balance out your shape – don't buy loose legged jeans to disguise your legs, they'll just expand your silhouette. Instead, go for boot cuts or flares which even out the triangle shape of your body into more of an hourglass. And as for your bum – the general rule is, the bigger the bottom, the bigger the pockets should be; but avoid bulky flap pockets which will add extra inches.
Long legged
Nothing's worse than jeans that stop short of where they should. But if you're lucky enough to have long legs, they can look stunning in the right jeans. If you do want to detract from your height, choose a pair of jeans that stop at your ankle and pair them with flat shoes. And, great news for all tall girls – skinny jeans look superb on you (think Claudia Schiffer and Gwyneth Paltrow!). To avoid legs looking too thin, choose denims with a bit of texture to them which will add the effect of volume.
You'll also look great in wide legged jeans which are very elegant and help to make the most of your frame.
Petite
Kylie always manages to make a pair of jeans look great – but it can be difficult to find jeans for the more diminutive among us. As a general rule, the style you should go for is slim fitting or skinny jeans that are slightly on the long side. Paired with high heels, and the hem hovering just above the ground, this will give you the illusion of extra height.
If you'd rather keep the bottom of your jeans at ankle length, choose a pair with a straight front crease or line which will help to lengthen your leg. If you do find a perfect pair of jeans that are too long though, don't be put off – you can easily have them altered. It might cost a bit more, but it's worth it to ensure that you look fantastic.
For extra height, try to match the colour of your jeans to your shoes and top, creating a sleek silhouette.
Fuller figure
Jeans are so flattering and easy to wear – especially if you have the curves to fill them. Generally, simple styles in classic boot cuts are the best. Don't try to hide your shape in baggy jeans – this will just look bulky. Stick to clean lines without added extras so as to maintain a sleek silhouette, and avoid detailed pockets and flaps. Also avoid jeans with too much stretch. Stick to a pair with just enough give that they feel comfy and steer clear of unflattering low rises, choosing something that sits near your belly button. Darker jeans can create a slimming effect so opt for indigo.
We want you to love wearing your jeans – and using Comfort fabric conditioner will make them feel fabulous. And if these great smelling lotions can even soften your jeans, just imagine how they will make the rest of your clothes feel too!
