Can you keep your cool?

Some people are better than others at steering clear of stress and taking a step back from fraught situations. How would you fare in these scenarios?

A woman having a shower alfrescoLate for the party

Your journey home from work was a disaster today, leaving you next to no time to change into that fabulous little black dress you bought for tonight's party. To add to your troubles, there's no one around to help with the zip and you may well be unfashionably late.

Road hog

You're usually a calm, patient sort of driver, but today someone has pushed you just too far, overtaking you too fast on a bend in a residential area. You're angry and shocked that anyone could drive like that. Will you give vent or restrain your feelings?

Shop talk

You pop in to your favourite shoe shop. Suddenly you notice the pair of boots you've had your eye on for some time have a half-price sale tag on them. There's only one pair left in your size, and you hear someone else asking to try them first. The tension mounts. She's taking ages trying them on. Why can't she make a decision? The suspense is agonising.

Cool factor

Most of us experience tense situations regularly – how we respond can vary greatly. But one unwanted side-effect of our response to stress is the tendency to sweat in paticular areas. And that extra wetness can lead to a stronger smell.

So it pays to ensure you're using a deodorant you can rely on that won't leave marks on your clothes.

The new Dove and Sure/Rexona ranges make light work of your perspiration so no one need know when stress strikes. Not only will they do a great job without marking your clothes – they contain moisturiser to care for your skin at the same time.
