But now you can get more experimental with olive oil. At the beginning of the year, we launched a range of new Bertolli olive oils to suit different tastes and dishes. There’s 'Originale' with a fruity taste that’s ideal for cooking, flavouring and dressings; 'Gentile' with the gentle flavour of green olives and fresh herbs (great for fish and vegetables); and the heavy-weight 'Robusto' with a rich full-bodied taste that's perfect with red meat.

Why did we do it? Consumer research shows people are now pretty knowledgeable about the health benefits of olive oil – it's already a very popular product. So it's the perfect time to take things one step further and offer people new choices and tastes. With Bertolli's new range you can be as discerning about your olive oils as you may be about, say, wines or fresh coffee.
With all these new options on offer, it also seemed like a good time to refresh the way Bertolli olive oil looks. We came up with a powerful new packaging design to stand out on the supermarket shelf – and help you find your way around the range. So now you'll find vibrant new imagery on the bottles, and clear signposting for each flavour. Even the shape has changed: we've given the square bottle some stylish curves and a more contemporary feel.
New flavours, age-old benefits
The new range has already proved really popular. People love experimenting to find the tastes they prefer and discover which flavours best suit different dishes. But alongside the appeal of discovering new tastes, the core of Bertolli olive oil remains the same: fantastic health benefits and great quality.
