Baby with bubbles in the bathTop tips

  • When buying products to care for your baby's clothes, always look for the British Skin Foundation logo, as you can rest assured they support the products' extensive research into skincare.
  • Make sure clothes are machine washable. You will have neither the time nor the energy to do lots of hand washing.
  • It's a good idea to wash all your baby's new things before they wear them. Wash items in a non-biological detergent, such as Persil Non-Bio.

Soft & gentle

  • Wash your little ones clothes in fabric conditioner, so they feel soft and gentle, rather than prickly and scratchy against the skin. Comfort Pure is dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic and is the number one choice for babies.
  • Don't forget to do up zips and fastenings on clothes before machine washing them, as they can catch and pull delicate fabrics.
  • Tiny baby items like socks, hats and gloves can get lost in the machine. Wash them inside an old pillowcase – they will still come out clean and you won't lose any!
