Joining Unilever after several years in industry, I was surprised at the responsibility and trust they had in me from the start - and the fact that I really could make a difference.

I develop new channels and strategies, implement new concepts and pioneer new ice cream categories with existing customers. My role as the contact person to the key accounts is very important, as some of my customers are trendsetters. Competitors as well as consumers are watching them, so they're always very open to new initiatives. With my previous work experience, I have many ideas (and an opinion about almost everything!). My ideas are usually well received and I have a lot of freedom to implement decisions.

On a more personal note, my husband and I work hard to get a good 'work/life balance' so that we can have quality time for our daughter and each other. We decided that weekends belong to the family, and bought a beach house (with no phone) where we spend our time together. It works!
