I am currently responsible for employee relations in Hindustan Lever Ltd, India (GBP 1.6 billion with 40 000 employees). My key focus is to sustain the high-performance culture by nurturing a willing, committed and productive workforce.

Unilever has been true to its promise. I have in the last ten-plus years benefited from cross-functional, cross-business, cross-cultural, cross-continental exposure. Each assignment has been more challenging than the last and in the bargain I've learnt, contributed and grown. In addition, I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside some of the best professionals in an organisation that has a record of outstanding performance and genuinely believes in the key contribution of people development efforts.

I am very proud of my contribution to the process of building an enterprise culture in Unilever, starting with the initial phase of defining and communicating it. I derive energy and a sense of satisfaction from collective achievement. I thrive on the opportunity to create positive mindsets and build capabilities amongst individuals and teams to achieve outstanding results. Unilever has provided a never-ending flow of challenging assignments which have provided exposure to different businesses, people, cultures, and places.
