What brings me satisfaction? Achieving success in every new venture. Recognition driven by sheer performance.

As a Commercial and Supply chain person, I ensure that all the products under my control are distributed to the right places in the required quantities at the most optimal total systems cost. Besides ensuring that consumers get what they want, this enables the business to focus on consumer relevant needs at the most affordable prices.

My current role is to explore exciting new business initiatives and evaluate them for their strategic fit into the overall objectives of the company. For example, one of the new business projects is to experiment with a direct to consumer, e-tailing business in India. This means having a complete understanding of the various formats of re-tailing in India and worldwide, their nature and specific pre-requisites - no small achievement! Once we understood the new business needs, complexities and opportunities, we drew up a supply chain strategy involving as many as 3 000 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), supported with necessary infrastructure and resources. This business model is currently piloted in Thane, near Mumbai.
