I always wanted to work for a global playing company in the FMCG-business, but it’s the combination of local and international atmosphere that makes Unilever really special. During internships I gained insight into several companies, but Unilever had the most professional and well structured management development planning, which is very important to me.
In my current position I have to work with a lot with people, which I enjoy very much. I learnt that without skilled and motivated people behind you, you’ll never be successful and reach your goals. For example, with a highly motivated team we managed to move a whole factory with seven production lines from one place to the other without our customers or consumers noticing (this means without running out of stock). This showed me how effective perfect teamwork can be.
Apart from work, I love sports and enjoy going out with friends and spending time with interesting people. This probably helps me a lot when you are constantly meeting new people at work in an international company. From time to time my neighbour reminds me that singing aloud while guitar playing in the evenings isn’t always a sign of good social behaviour!
