The packaging challenge
We believe business needs to go beyond being more efficient. It should give back, rather than simply take from, the earth’s resources.
The business case is clear. The more we reduce our packaging and the less waste that goes to landfill, the greater the cost savings in materials, energy, transport and disposal. The more we can design in a circular way, the more value we can create for our company and for others.
As part of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to halve the waste associated with our products by 2020 and all our manufacturing sites will send zero non-hazardous waste to landfill by 2015.
