A woman’s place is in the kitchen? Ha! Get with the times—a woman’s place is out there in the world, smashing down barriers and chasing her dreams. By speeding through the washing up with Sunlight, you’re not only minimizing your own time in the kitchen to get out there and pursue your passions, but you’re also helping to create inspiring digital content and workshops that turn women into entrepreneurs.

We ran workshops for 314 women who dared to dream big in business, helping show them how they could transform their passions in fashion, crafts and food into real business opportunities. And for those who couldn’t attend these classes in person, our series of online entrepreneurial videos had all that information at the touch of a button. So far, we’ve had 55,000 viewers get something out of this content!

But this is just the beginning.

In Indonesia, 70% of Sunlight retailers are women, so it only makes sense to help empower them to get the most out of their lives and their businesses. In 2017, we provided 40 women store owners with a visual merchandising and store ambience overhaul, and financial management lessons. And this scheme will be expanded beyond the capital city to a further 15 retailers during 2018 and 500 stores by 2022.

Little by little, we’re working hard to inspire and empower women business owners across the country. And with your help, we can keep shining a light on these pioneering women entrepreneurs to help make society a stronger, more inclusive place.
