Unilever share buyback programme

With our full year 2023 results on 8 February 2024, Unilever PLC announced a programme to buy back shares with an aggregate market value equivalent of up to €1.5 billion to be conducted during 2024. The purpose of the share buyback programme is to reduce the capital of Unilever PLC within the limitations of the authorities approved by shareholders.

On 17 May 2024, Unilever announced the commencement of the first tranche of the buyback programme (the “First Tranche”) for an aggregate market value equivalent of up to €850 million which will be bought back in the form of Unilever PLC ordinary shares. Unilever has entered into non-discretionary instructions with Goldman Sachs International to conduct the First Tranche on its behalf and to make trading decisions under the First Tranche independently of Unilever.
