Helping customers, boosting growth

By putting customers at the centre of our thinking, we can grow our business while also improving the health and wellbeing of consumers, as Unilever Hero Mohamad Abdullah Firdaus shows.

“There’s a constant issue of health and safety in Malay local eateries and they are also struggling to make a sustainable income in the face of harsh market conditions,” says Firdaus, who is Assistant Customer Development Manager of Unilever Food Solutions Malaysia.

“To address the issue, Unilever Food Solutions Malaysia has pioneered a programme called the Chefmanship Academy.”

Shared aims, shared success

More than 43,000 food operators have received training in hygiene and business knowledge through the Chefmanship Academy. Firdaus has so far worked with food operators and local government officials in four major cities, demonstrating how the Chefmanship Academies can help achieve their shared aim of improving the health and safety of consumers.
