Accelerating change

The aim of ‘Plan B’ is to tackle key issues – such as financial ‘short-termism’– that have traditionally prevented business from becoming a force for social, environmental and economic benefit.

The B Leaders were chosen because each has delivered significant changes in their own organisations and shown commitment to the broader agenda of people, planet and profit.

According to Paul: “The core aims of ‘Plan B’ are closely aligned with our Sustainable Living Plan and I find it encouraging that others are committed to doing the same. I hope it will act as a galvanising force to drive scale on many of the issues we are already tackling as a business. This is a chance to share some of our thinking and learnings, and also to learn from others.”

Breaking down barriers

The idea is that The B Team will work with government agencies, the social sector and other business leaders to identify the biggest challenges and then help break down barriers towards a new way of working.

The team plans to meet twice yearly with smaller groups getting together at other times to support specific challenges. For more information, visit www.bteam.org.
