Imagine trying to fight off famine and locusts.. Parents living in countries in East Africa are asking the same question: “How am I going to feed my children?”
Malnutrition contributes to the deaths of approximately 3 million children under the age of five every year. Experts anticipate a rise in the number of malnourished children in 2020 as a result of Covid-19. And now, a historic locust outbreak threatens millions with starvation.
Poor nutrition is often life-threatening – but almost always avoidable. The International Rescue Committee has developed a ground-breaking approach to treating child malnutrition.
By creating a unified programme, bringing treatment straight to the children in their homes and communities, and scaling up funding and political will, we aim to save the lives of nearly a million children over the next decade. But we can't do it without your support.
Please donation to support our work and help us end child malnutrition. Your gift will help us reach families in the East Africa region and more than 40 countries worldwide.
