Love the outdoors, love learning with Outdoor Classroom Day

The issue

Over half of children worldwide were getting less than an hour of outdoor play a day.

What can we do about it?

Spending time outdoors is as important for children’s development as learning to read and write. But learning doesn’t have to be about one or the other. By combining learning and the outdoors, children are engaged and excited in spectacular ways.

At Persil, we think that when children have the freedom to explore, they learn and develop. We’ve seen this in action with Outdoor Classroom Day, a special day of outdoor learning twice a year.

Outdoor Classroom Day gives ideas to teachers and parents to get children doing fun stuff outside. So far, over 9 million children from all over the globe have got stuck into activities like dressing up in nature themes and making garden soups. It may get messy, but it’s always enjoyable.

Get inspired to make outdoor play matter to the children in your life. Use the vast library of resources to keep the momentum going all year, whatever the situation.
