Woman explaining WaterAid’s work to school children

Inspire people to take action on clean water and hygiene

The issue

Clean water is vital for washing your hands and maintaining good hygiene, and it’s one of the best ways to protect yourself from the spread of illnesses like coronavirus. And yet it is still something that 3 billion people around the world do not have access to.

What can we do about it?

WaterAid is working hard to raise awareness about this critical global problem, and its Speaker Network is a vital part of spreading the word. Volunteer Speakers give inspiring and educational talks to schools, faith groups, youth groups and more across the UK.

Bringing WaterAid’s work to life helps to educate people about the importance of clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene in transforming lives, and to take action locally.

Are you a confident speaker and passionate about transforming lives with clean water? Would you like to do something meaningful and worthwhile from your own home? If so, WaterAid needs you. Although social distancing measures are in place, Speakers are still completing training and delivering talks – all online – to help inform and inspire children and adults.
