Rethink recycling and join Canada’s circular economy

The issue

Plastic has its place, and that place is not in the environment. We want to keep this valuable material where it should be – in the circular economy, where it can be reused, recycled or composted.

But with so many types of packaging and different recycling requirements across Canadian communities, it can be confusing to know how to recycle properly.

What can we do about it?

For a circular economy to work it takes everyone to participate, and materials like plastic to be collected, sorted, recycled and repurposed into something new.

The How2Recycle label gives you the information you need to effectively recycle your plastic and waste materials so they can be part of this process.

We all need to be aware of the plastic we use, and make sure we recycle our recyclables correctly. For example, do you need to rinse containers before recycling? Do you remove the non-recyclable elements before placing in the recycle bin?

This standardised labelling system helps by giving you clear instructions to make an easy task of recycling. Join the move towards a circular economy now and look for the How2Recycle label on Unilever products in Canada.
