Fernando Fernandez, Chief Financial Officer

Fernando was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director to the Board of Unilever PLC on 1 January 2024 after a thorough internal and external search process.

Prior to this role, he was the President of the Beauty & Wellbeing Business Group which is one of Unilever’s fastest growing businesses generating a revenue of €12.5 billion. He will continue to be a member of the Unilever Leadership Executive.

Fernando is an economist from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started his career in the Finance team at Unilever in Argentina in 1988 and consequently worked as a controller and in M&A before taking up general management roles across many markets. Fernando has worked across Supply Chain, Marketing and General Management in a global career spanning three decades.

He acquired deep strategy and marketing experience having led the Hair Care category at regional and global levels. Since 2008, Fernando has successfully led Unilever businesses in the Philippines, Brazil, and the Latin American region.

Born and raised in Argentina, Fernando is married and has two daughters. He will be based in London.
